Breve CV
Mª Victoria Belmonte is an Associate Professor and Head of Languages and Computer Sciences Department at the University of Malaga (Spain). She obtained her BSc degree and MSc degree in Computer Science at the University of Murcia (1989) and University of Málaga (1992). Next, she was an FPU research fellow at Languages and Computer Sciences Department of UMA and received a PhD in Computer Sciences from UMA in 2002. Her research interests are focusing in the Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) field with applications to real world problems in domains such us transport, computational design, health or predictive policing. She has authored more than 60 research papers: 27 indexed publications with a relative quality index and three book chapters. In addition, she has four research periods (six-years) granted by the CNEAI (1993-2002, 2003-2008, 2009-2014, 2015-2020) and five regional periods by Junta de Andalucía. She has participated on more than fifteen competitive research grants and contracts, 7 national projects and 3 regional projects among them. She has also directed two doctoral theses in the Computer Science program.
